As Nigeria marks its 57th independence anniversary, it’s easy to focus on all of the things that do not work. Don’t we know them all? But when you think about it really, there are some things that make Nigeria the best place to be in the world.

1. Nollywood
The Nigerian film industry is the second highest source of GDP and has made the country celebrated all around the world. Add to that our talented filmmakers and actors, then you see that it’s no joke.
2. Nigerian Music
Nigerian Artistes like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage sit comfortably amongst the biggest entertainers on the global scene. These award winning music exports continuously serve good music to help us dance and when stress kicks in.
3. Social Media
Only fifteen ago, there was nothing like Facebook or Twitter. Don’t you sometimes wonder wonder what your would have been without social media? Countries like Iran and North Korea have restricted access to certain networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, but in Nigeria, thousands of opportunities abound with social media. Needless to say, with twitter, elections have been won and lost, while with Instagram, videos and stories are told with groundbreaking effects.
4. Nigerian food
Nigeria has a diverse range of assorted and exotic meals that made even Chef Ramsey imitate the Nigerian jollof. Please, put some respek on it.
5. Good weather
With no natural disasters such as hurricanes and tornadoes, it’s always bright and sunny.
