The much talked about themed musical collaborative effort for the The Headies 2011 is finally here! Titled ‘Breaking from the norm‘ the song which features heavyweight rapper Illbliss, fast rising Mc Ice Prince, pop sensation Wizkid and the delectable Waje was premiered this morning on Lagos urban radio station; Beat FM 99.9 on ‘The Morning Rush’ show with Olisa and Oreka.
Produced by hit maker Samklef who does a brilliant job, the theme the forthcoming awards, Standout, Surpass, Break from the Norm is fully expressed in the three-minute plus song.
Pacy and recorded on an upbeat tempo, the song brings if not amplifies the right kind of energy the popular and respected awards show has. Verses are articulate, beat is mind thrilling – Wouldn’t you want to be there?
