NETPod: ‘Teno’ By Zara Gretti

Anytime Zara‘s name pops up, I can’t help but wonder why her career hasn’t blossomed like some of her counterparts. She definitely does have the voice, charisma and appeal, so what’s wrong?

Her single ‘Aboko ku‘ might have failed to climb high in the charts but was well accepted. Her style is quite different from the norm; a sexy husky voice plus daunting lyrics is what Zara brings to the table.

‘Teno‘ doesn’t throw much weight though. Zara leans on the shoulder of Auto-Tune to accomplish what could have been a far better song if the producer had not mutilated her voice. The energy of the song will however get you moving. Commendable.
