We never thought Davido would ever revisit his monstrous hit ‘Dami duro’.
But he’s gone for a remix, with an international star Akon on it.
Some things should however be left untouched; as even Akon, a maestro of collabos and remixes fails on this one.
The Konvict music boss who has remixed tracks with the likes of Nigerian pop singers Psquare and Wizkid fails to repeat the magic on Davido’s cut; annoyingly raising his pitch, leaving the original composer of the song Davido to beat him with his own verse…
Should this remix have happened? Tell us what you think…

I wasn’t impressed though.. What Davido management ought to have done was make a new beat and a new rhythm for d song instead of this one.
Yes, some things are better left untouched. Must we always remix with a BIG SHOT in the industry?
#just following trends blindly! SMH.
My advise it that he works on a better hit and stop flogging the dead horse! Ma dara e duro pelu orin yi (Don’t hold yourself back with this song). Better songs out there bro.
Akon, you fall my hand!
I think he just hav left us to accept him fully before moving on to remix..Money or connections is not everything he should have rather do a new track with Akon nt dis..OBO try Again……
I don’t see anything bad in d remix , Akon is d focus and he delivered well even to d extent of speaking yoruba language. As u hv claimed he shouts, u should knw dats why he backed it up wit an electric voice . And for akon goin extra mile to use electric voice, it means he puts extra effort. Really , it is a good work, please stop condemning and criticizing good things , u can’t do 2cent of it let alone doin better. All u knw is to remain stagnant and b criticizing someone dat u old enough to be his elder bro or his uncle. What potential do u hv ?
Yes but put ur professional styles so that the music will be lively thank everyone
Nigerians r reacting again. This was ur reponse wen dbanj remixd kukere wt iyanya, which is now 1 of the most playd songs in clubs. U think its easy?? Huh? Get a lyf guys #poko
Very good one, nice track! Shout out 2dat Teewhye guy, some people re just hia to criticise d good works of d young act, mayb wen u get dere u feel how derailing it is wen criticised…..nice one Davido!
To me; the only thing the remix lack is unity. The voices were overlapping. I would have preferred Akon doing the remix alone. But still I enjoy listening to it.
I loved Τ̣̣ђё. Remix with all my heart…Akon singing Τ̣̣ђё. Language without a foreign accent…I believe this is one of Τ̣̣ђё. Best collabos of d year…its not easy…I wonder why anyone’d say they don’t like Τ̣̣ђё. Song…well, W̶̷̩̥̊͡ε̲̣̣̣̥ all have our opinions…W̶̷̩̥̊͡ε̲̣̣̣̥ can also influence others if W̶̷̩̥̊͡ε̲̣̣̣̥ have a very strong opinion…so pls if its negative, don’t spread it…this is someone’s sweat…don’t ruin stuff for ’em
This song is a lot better than the original version, all the unnoticed imperfections of the original were smoothened out – for example, Davido added more comprehensible lyrics to the initial gibberish in the original which sounded good, though; the mixing and mastering is far better; Akon added his ‘electricity’ which only he can do. I’d also say the song is more of an Akon version, rather than a remix, because most of Davido’s parts are too familiar (from the original) If this song had come out this way from the beginning, it would have probably been the greatest song in Nigeria’s history. A good work watered down by the familiarity of the original.
the remix is dope as any other remix done on such a huge trck, big ups to davido n akon emi gan gan olowo
