Nollywood actor, Kunle ‘Dejo Tunfulu’ Adetokunbo has won the most searched actor award at the NET Honours Class of 2022 two months after his demise.
NET Honours is an annual people’s choice award that recognises top performers and events in the entertainment industry and public sector that have shaped the year through a thorough analysis of audience search results, consumer interest, social media interactions and trends.

Dejo Tunfulu as he was known passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022. Before his death, he was famous for playing a stock humorous character who had a speech defect and struggled to interact with people.
Following his death, he became the most searched actor as many Nigerians scoured the internet to read about him and his work.
Described by his colleague as a true professional who stayed away from trouble, Dejo Tunfulu added spice and humour to the industry.
Jide Kosoko, a veteran actor described his death as painful in a chat with Netng.
“He was a professional to the core. He goes about his trade with professionalism. He is such a fine gentleman and of the quiet type. He’s focused on his job and hardly gets involved in frivolous things, and was one of the old breeds,” he told Netng.
“We have various comics but he had his own type and was very good at it. Despite the challenges of the role he played, he did it well. He was a very fine young gentleman. He hardly engages in quarrels and fighting. His death is so painful.”
