Mrs Folake Aremu, popularly known as Orisabunmi, receives a posthumous nomination for ‘Most Searched Actress’ six months after her death. She is nominated alongside Regina Daniels, Moji Afolayan, Tamara Eteimo and Funke Akindele.

The Nollywood veteran was well known from the 80s for her roles as a priestess, pacifist or the good witch. So much so she earned the moniker, ‘The Good Witch Of Yoruba Film’. She first appeared in a stage play called ‘Ori Ma Binu’, but her role as ‘Orisabunmi’ in “Arelu” made her a popular name in Nollywood in the 80s. On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, she passed away after a super-successful career that spanned more than 40 years.
Funke Akindele was on the tongues of many as she released “Omo Ghetto: The Saga,” a sequel to the 2010 trilogy ‘Omo Ghetto’. In its fifth week, the movie still topped the box office grossing ₦480.5 million cumulatively, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time.
Moji Afolayan is a veteran actress and one of the most recognised actors in Nollywood. She features in many movies produced by her husband, Rasaq Olayiwola, popularly known as Ojopagogo. Some of her most famous films include “Orisa Opoki”, “Ikoko Emi”, “Se Ala Ni” and many more.
Regina Daniels and Tamara Eteimo also made media mentions as their movies began to hit streaming platforms, so many fans were happy to reunite with them on the screens.
