A 32 year-old housewife known simply as Nancy, is reported to have committed suicide by stabbing herself to death on Saturday June 6. According to reports, her friends say she committed suicide after complaining about her husband’s poor sexual performance since they got married.
The incident happened in Okpanam Community, near Asaba in Delta State and Nancy is said to have complained bitterly to a relative that she only got to know of her husband’s poor sexual prowess after they got married because they did not engage in premarital sex while dating.
Police officers at the Okpanam Police Division have confirmed the incident but withheld the name of the couple involved. The officers said they saw her lifeless body in her room after the husband, who is an engineer, had gone to work.
The case is said to be still under investigation.
