However, hours after its release, the song has not been mentioned on any of the social media accounts of the stars involved. None of them put up promo pictures or even tweeted about it, which is quite odd, especially with Chocolate City known for its aggressive online hype and promo. Curiously also, not even the official Chocolate City social media pages have any information about the new song which was expected to gather some mileage for the group.
NET investigation has revealed that the song has not been officially released, rather; it was leaked and this is currently causing confusion in the Choc City camp as no one knew exactly how it got leaked. An inside source who spoke to NET said: ‘There is a new song, but it’s not meant to be out yet.’
Recall that Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori last week said that the label would be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and there are surprises in store for fans. NET further learnt that there’s plan for a collaboration album with a properly structured release plan but the leak of ‘Summer Girl’ might have jeopardised the plan and the element of surprise that was being planned.
