NET Exclusive: Diana King visits Nigeria, to record duet with Praiz

Veteran reggae singer Diana King is in Nigeria.

The singer-songwriter arrived in the country on July 6, 2014.

It’s Diana King’s first time in Africa and she’s quite excited about it. A few hours before her flight, she wrote on her official Twitter page;

‘ON MY WAY TO #AFRICA #SCREAMs!!! CAN U BELIEVE IT’s MY #FirstTIME!! I’M SO SYCHED (sic)’.

King is in Nigeria to collaborate with popular singer Praiz on the remix of his latest single ‘Mercy’. We are told the recording will go down sometime this week. The 90’s babies will tell you that Praiz sampled for the chorus of his ‘Mercy’ song, a bit of King’s 1993 smash single ‘Shy guy’. Back in June, King tweeted a link to Praiz’s ‘Mercy’ video, certifying it as a favourite.

The pair might also be performing the yet-to-be recorded remix at the MTN music app launch, which holds this weekend.
