In his welcome address, the publisher on THENET and convener of the conference Ayeni Aekunle said, ‘We have a country of a very talented people, Nollywood has made giant strides, the opportunities are amazing, we need to study local trends and see what we can localize and make our own’.
He continued to say, ‘Let’s study whats happening in Europe and America and see what needs to happen here in Nigeria, so when CORA approached us, we though it’s a great opportunity to further spread the word and have series of events across the country to discuss these issues and solutions to look at what we need to do to build and industry of our dreams’.
