Modenine, Sauce Kid to feature on BET Spotlight, April 20

On Friday, April 20, 2012 fans of Nigerian hip-hop will have a sense of pride as they watch Nigerian Hip-hop acts – rap veteran Modenine and Sauce Kid on BET. Both acts will be featured on this week’s BET Spotlight.

The 30-minutes series which airs strictly on BET International will feature interviews from Modey and Saucekid as well as play a select number of their music videos. The program will air 8:30PM GMT.

Other Nigerian acts like M.I, Ice Prince, Psquare and Wizkid have also been featured on the series, as BET continues to show love to Nigerian hip hop acts.

‘It’s good for Nigerian hiphop, because it will air not only in Nigeria but in the UK and some part in Asia’, Mode 9 tells NET.

In other news, both rappers have been quite busy – Modenine is currently recording a 7 day mixtape titled ‘Occupy The Throne’. He tells us he’s set to release four new singles that will feature appearances from 9ice, Dr Frabz, Faze and XY.

Saucekid on the other hand is currently working with radio hosts Gbemi, Toolz, Phoenix and Omalicha as a presenter on ‘The Breakfast Parlour’, a charity program.
