Kween Onokala is yet to return home, nearly two years after leaving for England, to have her second baby Tyrone.
The sexy singer, who only returned home around 2006, after about five years abroad, was already working her way to the top, riding on the power of bold, daring lyrics, beautiful music, and a sexy, provoking image that got many men weak in the knees.
In an environment like Nigeria, Kween’s bold, down-to-earth lyrics were unlike what you’d expect from a young female act. But she was brave enough to dare – even singing on a chorus: ‘mo fe ba e sun’ (I wanna sleep with you) – and the fans fell for it.
Sadly, the young lady was on the way to claiming her ‘Kweendom’, when she fell for the charm of a young club manager named Dotun Omotoye. Soon, she was pregnant again; and London, her city of refuge, came calling again.
She’s been MIA since 2008.
She had her second baby boy, Tryonne, in London on Saturday January 31, 2009.
Her first son is named Tyresse.
Rumours now have it that Kween is on her way back home again; finally returning to face her music and release her long-awaited album’ Thy Kweendon Come’.
