Retired Portugal midfielder, Anderson Luis de Souza, popularly known as Deco, has expressed his opinion on the unending rivalry between between his former Barcelona team-mate, Lionel Messi and Real Madrid super star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
While responding to a question in a question and answer session with sport journalists on Friday, March 14, 2015, the former Barcelona midfielder said:
‘They are different. Messi was born with talent. Cristiano has it as well, but it’s incredible how hard he’s worked, what a professional he is.’
Deco was rated as one of the best midfielder’s in the world during his playing days, started his career in 1996 with Corinthians and also played for clubs like Alverca, Salgueiros, Porto, Chelsea before retiring at Fluminense in 2013.
