Mercy Johnson has called on actors and actresses to live beyond their stardom and the moment.
The actress made this call during an interview with The Sun when she visited the Boys Correctional Centre, Oregun Lagos.
Apart from blessing the boys with gifts, the actress says she’s keen about finding ways to reform young boys and girls; passionate about helping them build capacity and preparing them to add value to society.
In what was clearly a message to her colleagues, she said ‘I strongly believe that as stars we should live beyond the euphoria of stardom and the moment. We will not always be here, what happens if you look back and realise you could do a lot to make the world better when you had the spotlight and you didn’t…?’
