Photographer, musician and actress, Toni Tones enchanted guests and viewers at the venue of the 2017 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards on Sunday with her appearance in a stunning purple ball gown.
With the array of the jaw-dropping dresses that the continent’s biggest stars wore on that night, Toni Tones stood out like an adorable Disney princess.
The dress was created by designer, Yemi Shoyemi and here are six things about the Lagos-based couturier.
1. Both her mother and grandmother were tailors and she grew up around fabrics and sewing machines
2. She started sewing at age five, practising with doll dresses and throw pillows
3. She studied Business Administration at the University of Abuja
4. She specialises in couture wedding gowns
5. However, she’s considering going into making off-the-rack dresses
6. She and Toni Tones have a chemistry, as it’s not the first time she’s created a red carpet dress for Toni
