
A Los Angeles rapper who goes by the name MURS currently holds the world record for longest rap marathon, after rapping for more than 24 hours straight.
He started on the morning of Wednesday, October 12 and ended on Thursday, October 13.
MURS performed his songs as well as hundreds of classic rap songs from other artistes like Tupac, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, E-40, Xzibit, Too $hort and Ice Cube to name a few.

‘Fuck it I’m outta here have a nice life everyone,’ he concluded with a hoarse voice, referring to his last album, Have a Nice Life.
MURS was allowed a five-minute break each hour and had representatives on site at the studio in Los Angeles where he performed to ensure the Guinness World Record guidelines were followed.

Although, not to be confused with Chidera ‘Chiddy Bang’ Anamege’s record for Longest Freestyle Rap at nine hours, this isn’t just a ‘freestyle’ session.

In another rap marathon record, Miami MC Pablo Alvarez freestyled for 25 hours in July. He is in the process of having the record for longest freestyles session confirmed by Guinness.
