Jessica, like her father, Nigeria music maestro Bongos Ikwue hails from Otukpo, Benue State. She was born on July 15, 1983 in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Jessica officially started singing with her father, Bongos Ikwue in 2006, recording backing vocals on a few of his songs before dropping her debut EP ‘Unscathed’ in 2014.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Development and a Masters in Leisure events and facilities management, but is a full time singer and songwriter.
Influenced by her dad and his music, she decided to pursue her passion in music, choosing the jazz and soul genres. She has admitted to having other musical influences including Adele, Lauryn Hill and Stevie Wonder.
