Despite widespread criticism trailing his boxing style, victorious Floyd Mayweather has insisted he is better than Manny Pacquiao. during the world’s richest boxing bout on May 2, 2015.
Obviously blowing his own trumpet, Mayweather, who won a unanimous decision, added that with his victory, he has now made ‘non-believers into believers.’ Speaking after his bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the American undisputed champion, who has now won 48 of all his professional fights said: ‘I made the non-believers into believers. I was the better man, the smarter fighter, more calculated and more patient.
‘He was applying pressure but not landing many punches and I was just keeping my jab in his face.’
The boxing judges handed Floyd Mayweather the scorecards of 118 – 110, 116 – 112 and 116 – 112 over Manny Pacquiao, who admitted he fought with a shoulder injury but said he thought he did enough to win the fight.
