Mariah Carey and her ex-fiance, James Packer have gone their separate ways, but their split is far from being a pretty one.
TMZ reports that Mariah wants a piece of the Australian billionaire’s wealth for her troubles, notably for having to leave her comfort zone by moving from New York to Los Angeles, in order for Packer to be closer to his kids.
She also claims Packer has left her traumatised, prompting her to cancel the South American leg of her tour, due to an incident on a yacht in Greece, where he allegedly did something awful to her assistant.
According to TMZ, sources close to the couple revealed the ‘Heartbreaker’ singer wants a sum of $50m (about N23b) from the Australian billionaire, who is yet to respond to the demand.
Mariah got engaged to Packer in January, with the singer getting a $10m engagement ring.
