Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o has been honoured at the Maui Film Festival.
After winning several awards, including the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in ’12 Years a Slave’, and being named the most beautiful person in the world by People Magazine, the actress was on Saturday, June 7, 2012, given the ‘2014 Rainmaker Award’ for her contribution to film at the Maui Film Festival in Wailea.
The actress was recently confirmed for a new role in the movie ‘Star Wars VII’.
