France and Bayern Munich star, Franck Ribery has revealed what shattered his relationship with former boss, Louis van Gaal.
Speaking with Goal, the former Marseille star said his relationship with the present Manchester United coach became strained due to what he calls the human basis problem.
‘We had problems on a human basis, when he started; nobody knew what was going to happen, his idea was that he did not care about names at all, you don’t need stars, everybody had to prove themselves again.’
Ribery also said he lost his trust for the big boss when his first contact with the boss was already poisoned
‘The first contact with him was already poisoned. As a professional, you lose your trust. He does great things on the pitch but the coach, Van Gaal was a bad man. Our relationship was crushed.’
Van Gaal, as head coach of Bayern Munich between 2009 and 2011, coached Franck Ribery for only two years before going on to coach his country’s senior national team, Netherlands.
