Manchester United head coach, Louis van Gaal has won his first award of the year at the Anton Geesink Award ceremony for his remarkable sport performance for Holland which saw them finish third at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The award which is named in honour of late Dutch legend Anton Geesink, saw the former Bayern Munich boss receive the prestigious award on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at his home town.
Speaking after receiving his award, Van Gaal said, ‘Anton and I have the same character and we have both struggled, although with different resistances.’
