Manchester City saw red last night as they visited Liverpool at home, with the hosts bashing the Manuel Pellegrini side 3-0.
It was indeed a revenge of their Capital One Cup loss as Jurgen Klopp’s boys showed no mercy to their visitors. Adam Lallana opened scoring in the 34th minute which was doubled by James Milner 7 minutes later.
With the return of the second half, Man City were kept at bay by Liverpool as they kept firing blanks. The Anfield side cemented their win barely 12 minutes into the second half with a fantastic Roberto Firmino strike which sent the packed stadium into frenzy.
Manchester City remains 4th on the league table with 47 points while Liverpool sits at the 8th spot with 41 points.
