Argentina striker, Lionel Messi, will be honoured by Spain’s Professional Football League as a result of his record-shattering goalscoring tally in La Liga which has seen him bag 258 goals so far in his illustrious career.
The football star who reached the landmark against Sevilla on Saturday, November 22, 2014, in the process surpassing former Spanish and Athletic Bibao legend, Telmo Zarra’s record of 251, goals will be honoured on Sunday, January 11, 2015 when Barcelona clashes with Atletico Madrid at Barcelona’s famous home ground, the Camp Nou.
