Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly renting out his New York City apartment, earning himself an extra $300,000 a year. The Wolf of Wall Street star, who bought the flat in the Greenwich Village area of the city for $10 million last year, is reportedly set to earn a hefty $300,000 a year by leasing his property, the New York Post’s Page Six column reports.
The apartment, which is in the Green Delos building on East 11th Street, is currently occupied by Leonardo’s tenant, Jonathan Orszag, a former economic policy advisor for President Bill Clinton.
Homes within the building boast a host of luxury facilities including a circulated aromatherapy air supply, showers infused with Vitamin C and reflexology flooring. Owners can also take advantage of a special lighting design, known as a ‘dawn simulator’.
Meanwhile, the 40-year old actor, who also owns an eco-friendly house in Battery Park City, is believed to be ‘burning’ himself out with his hectic work schedule. A source said previously: ‘Leo has been working like a demon over the past three years, and it’s now starting to come back and haunt him.
‘He’s pretty burned out at the moment and suffering from insomnia from pushing himself so hard. ‘Everybody is begging Leo to slow down but he’s just very focused on making a lot of money right now, to the exclusion of almost everything else.’
