American actor, Leonardo DiCaprio has been included in ARTnews’ annual 200 list of the world’s top art collectors, with the magazine saying: ‘One of his first major purchases was a Basquiat drawing.’
The ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ star’s purchases are believed to include works by Picasso, Takashi Murakami, Ed Ruscha, Andreas Gursky, Sarah Lucas and Elizabeth Payton.
He is a regular fixture at Art Basel in both Switzerland and Miami and previously co-chaired the annual Art + Film Gala at the LA County Museum of Art.
