Award-winning Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has disclosed that he plans to create some film projects with the old Yoruba language textbook used in Primary School and popularly known as Alawiye.
Kunle made the disclosure today on Instagram as he posted a picture of the popular old textbook with the caption: ‘Remember this book? Got Primary 1 to 6 for my children and also creating some projects with it. #pencil #sketchbook #picture #artist #instalike #love #red #sunshine #fun #likeforlike #friends #hot #likes #amzing #smile #art #likes4follow #likesback #likesreturned #likes4likes #likesforlikes #like4like #awesome #fashion #tweegram #follow4follow #tagsforlikes #amazing #cool #LikesCam @LikesCam’
While it is not clear what movie recreations Kunle is thinking about, it must be stated that nothing would look far fetched considering the standing of his father figure and mentor, Tunde Kelani as a filmmaker who delights in adapting books for movies.
His latest film, October 1 released in October 2014, is still enjoying rave reviews home and abroad. It also has the highest number of nominations (12) at the forthcoming Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2015 (AMVCA) scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2015.
