American model-business mogul Kimora Lee Simmons has finally revealed her breakup with lover-husband Hollywood actor Djimon Hounsou after more than 5 years together.
Kimora’s shocking tweets yesterday, revealed she has really broken up with the 48-year-old actor-model.
She tweeted ‘There have been quite a few hurtful rumors circulating. The truth is Djimon+I have been separated for some time. We have remained happy, loving, co-parenting friends+family. We all have much to be thankful for. #Happy Thanksgiving
According to unconfirmed reports, Honsou walked out on Simmons after ‘a big fight over money’.
Reports also claimed Simmons’ former husband, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, decided to stop funding the pair’s lifestyle.
Hounsou and Kimora began dating in 2007 following the split from Russell Simmons.
In 2008 they both visited Hounsou’s family in his native town in Benin where they participated in a traditional commitment ceremony.
Kimora gave birth to Kenzo Lee Hounsou on May 30, 2009, and also has two daughters from her marriage to the hip hop mogul; Ming Lee and Aoki Lee.
Kimora, a former model who now runs a shoes and handbags website JustFab and Hounsou were never legally married in the United States.
