The 34-year old beauty, who arrived in the mountainous European country alongside her husband, Kanye West, their 22-month old daughter, North, sister, Khloe Kardashian and other family members, was greeted by a huge crowd of people at Zvartnots International Airport, which included women wearing traditional Armenian dress offering bread and salt.
On her arrival in the country, Kim tweeted: ‘Armenia we are here! We’re so grateful to be here & start this journey of a lifetime! Thank u everyone who greeted us (sic)’
Later, she added: ‘I can’t wait to explore our country and have some yummy food!’
Kim, whose late father, Robert Kardashian was of Armenian-American descent, also said she’s determined to make the most of the cultural experience and ensure that her daughter learns more about her Armenian heritage.
The reality TV star wrote on her Instagram account: ‘My husband and daughter came to Armenia as well to see my heritage and learn about my ancestors! My cousins came along too! So excited I can’t sleep.’
