Mutungi has been a pilot at Kenya Airways for about six years, and has been flying as a First Officer on the 767-300ER, the second largest aircraft in Kenya Airways’ fleet.
According to Kenyaniaje, Mutungi was promoted to fly in the left hand seat of KQ’s latest acquisition after completing her course for type conversion successfully.
