The remains of late singer, Kefee, has arrived in Nigeria, ahead of a burial which will hold this month.
The body which was flown into the country on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos at 4PM via a Delta Airline aircraft.
The body was received by a few family members. It is not confirmed if Teddy Don-Momoh, husband of the late singer arrived with the body. Teddy was by with his late wife in the US before she passed away.
Kefee died on Friday, June 13 2014, after being in a coma for 15 days. A statement released by her UK manager confirms that the singer died as a result of lungs failure.
UPDATE
We earlier reported that Kefee’s corpse arrived Nigeria via a Delta Airline flight on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. After obtaining the flight manifest, we have discovered the information was wrong. Her corpse, we have been told by a spokesperson, is still in the U.S.
The family will announce burial plans in due course.
