The 2014 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) held on Sunday, February 16 at the Royal Opera House, London, England.
The event saw a host of top British and American personalities in attendance with British-Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor bagging an award for ‘The Best Leading Actor’ in the movie ’12 Years a slave’. Other winners included Alfonso Cuarón ‘Gravity’, Cate Blanchett ‘Blue Jasmine’ , Barkhad Abdi ‘Captain Phillips’.
Star actresses, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey and Lupita Nyong lost out to Jennifer Lawrence in the ‘Supporting Actress’ award category.
