He went from America’s sweetheart to accused killer. Since 1994 OJ Simpson has never been able to stay away from controversy and eventually ended up in jail, spending nine years at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center.
He was convicted on a robbery and kidnapping charge which he denied the whole time. In July he was granted parole and was finally released on Sunday.
The 70 year old man wasted no time in trying to settle back into society.
Here’s what he’s been up to since his release just a few days ago.
1. OJ Takes A Bite Of Apple
OJ was spotted at a Verizon store in Las Vegas purchasing an iPhone. His first outing since he was released from jail, he couldn’t resist taking a few pictures with eager fans.
2. OJ Living Large
The 70 year old Simpson will be lodging at a $1.8 million Las Vegas mansion. The home reportedly belongs to one of OJ’s friends who generously allowed his pal to stay there. The 5,000 square foot property comprises of five bedrooms and bathrooms, a backyard and a pool.
3. Catching Up With Baby Girl
Simpson’s 48 year old daughter, Arnelle, has been the first of OJ’s children to pay a visit to her father. Arnelle was spotted showing her dad how to use his new phone as well as helping him adapt to his new life.
4. Like Trump, Like OJ
It seems that OJ has found a new and more relaxing sport to accompany his freedom. The former American football player was spotted practicing some moves on the golf course on Monday, a favourite past time of current US President Donald Trump.
5. That NFL Money Though!
OJ shouldn’t be having any money issues. Why? Well, he has $500,000 from his NFL pension to live off of during his parole. Although he owes the estate of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman almost $40 million from the civil conviction against in 1995, his pension cannot be touched.
