The couple got married on January 15, 2014 at the Federal marriage registry, Ikoyi Lagos.

The marriage hit the rocks in June 2015 when news broke that Toke’s hubby, Maje Ayida had impregnated his ex-lover, Anita Solomon who eventually gave birth to a baby boy in July 2015 in UK.
Toke Makinwa has now filed a divorce petition dated March 9, 2016 through her lawyers seeking an official dissolution of the marriage citing adultery, cruelty and irreconcilable differences as her reasons.
