Actress Yvonne Orji made a special appearance at the Africa Day Benefit Concert which aired on MTV Base’s YouTube channel.

Speaking on Africa, she said that “It’s always been Africa’s time, the rest of the world is just catching up.”
She also reminisced on the first time she heard afrobeat music on the radio overseas, which was singer Afro B’s ‘Drogba’, that she was excited to hear something from her people being played. To her, it felt like “Africa to the world, we cannot be stopped, the revolution will be televised”.
Other special appearance s include artists Falz, Jidenna, Sean Paul, Fat Joe and American film director, Spike Lee, who introduced a performance by Kenya’s Salif Keïta who is known as the ‘Golden Voice of Africa’.
