Is Omotola Having An Affair?

Nollywood star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and her reps are suing a website which recently published a news story alleging the actress, who’s married with four kids, is in a sizzling affair with a Lagos-based businessman.

Omotola’s reps admit she’s familiar with the said man Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, but only as a family friend and nothing else.

‘The website claimed Mrs. Ekeinde is having a sizzling and immoral relationship with Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, It is a big fat lie’, said the statement sent to Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET) by her publicist.

The website www.nigeriafilms.com has not said anything on the issue. But sources say, the site, which is known for lifting news content from several other sites, actually picked up the Omotola story from www.societynowng.com, a website run by Lagos-based society journalists who are very familiar with Omotola and Afolabi. In filing the report, neither societynowng nor nigeriafilms spoke with Omotola or her reps.

And it’s not the first time Omotola is being accused of having affairs. In the past 10 years, she’s been rumoured to be dating many men, including the former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose.

Close to her husband to a fault, and very finicky about her public perception, Omotola vehemently denies the rumours; insisting such reports are the handiwork of those keen on ‘pulling her down’.
