Nollywood film-maker and co-founder of The Audrey Silva Company, Mildred Okwo has advised film-makers to invest in all equipment they can afford instead of renting.
Okwo, who is currently shooting her new series Bankers NGR, gave the advice on her Facebook page in a post that read: ‘I used to tell filmmakers not to invest in film equipment because you can always rent them especially if you only shoot once or twice a year. In other words leave the business of buying, renting and maintaining equipment to those who are experts in it. I have since changed my mind because as usual Nigeria defies logic. Invest in any and all equipment you can afford abeg you.’
