Reuters reports that preliminary investigations show that Khan, 25, had been depressed from being heartbroken after a failed relationship, which could be a possible motive for suicide.
The Mumbai Police Department, say although no suicide note was found, ‘her death is not being treated as suspicious as it appeared to be suicide’.
Khan, whose real name was Nafisa Khan, was born in New York and grew up in London. She made her acting debut in 2007 and has featured in Bollywood blockbusters, ‘Nishabd’, ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Housefull’.
