The management of August Pee entertainment, the label responsible for the promotion of iMike Anyasodo says the Pop-Highlife singer has no brand ambassadorship deal with telecommunication company MTN.
A few weeks ago, it was widely reported that MTN had signed on Project Fame alumni – Iyanya, Chidinma, Praiz and also iMike as brand ambassadors. But a rep for the label owned and headed by former Pop singer H-Man says the deal was not extended to iMike.
‘Setting the record straight became necessary after repeated reports were published in a segment of the media addressing iMike as an MTN brand ambassador” a statement from the record label, made available to Nigerian Entertainment Today, states.
August Pee however maintains that iMike has ‘a very cordial relationship’ with the telecoms who broke the artiste into the Nigerian music market when he won the Project Fame talent show in 2009.
