30-year old pop star, Yemisi Odegbami better known as May7ven has revealed that her parents are not putting any pressure on her to get married.
The UK-based musician, who recently relocated to Nigeria to pursue her music career, in a recent interview with Punch said despite being 30 years old, her parents are not putting her under any pressure regarding marriage.
‘My parents do not put the pressure on me to get married. I am a woman who knows what she wants. I am strong-minded. I do what I want to do. I have had two major love of my life. We are having some problems right now because of my relocation and I am not out here looking for a significant other.
I want to be in a nice, healthy relationship. My ideal man would be strong and ambitious. I do not care about looks. I do not want someone who has made it. I want someone I can build an empire with; someone that can add value to my life and I can add to his too.’
May7ven, who derived her stage name from her birth date – May 7 – is a musician, dancer and presenter and daughter of Nigerian soccer legend, Segun Odegbami. She studied Performing Arts, marketing, architecture and sound engineering and has been active on the music scene since the last few years.
