I had just moved to Maryland from North Carolina around 2007 and T-Money, a close producer friend of mine brought me to a studio to meet and vibe with some artists he was working with.
It was there I met Maggie aka Zara. Immediately we hit off and I think most people who were fortunate enough to get to know her can confirm that Zara just made you comfortable, free to be YOU around her because she was always herself around others.
Over the years she went from Zara the artist to Maggie to me, she became a sister to me, calling me to always check up, making sure I came to her house anytime she cooked.
It wasn’t until 3AM last night that it hit me that I will never see you again, and all the stuff that we said we’d do, that I pushed back because I felt that there was ‘time’ will always haunt me.
It pissed me off when I found out you were back and didn’t tell me but I understand why you coming back was important to you.
I will continue to only have positive and great memories of you as I look at old pictures. Thank you for being a part of my life Maggie.
