Uche reached the milestone in a match against fellow Nigerian, Ramon Azeez’s Almeria, which ended 2-0 in favour of the Yellow Submarines as Villareal are also called.
The ‘proud’ player took to Twitter to thank his fans, writing: ‘Great game last night..very proud to have scored my 100th goal in spain.Just want to thank everyone for the support.’
While celebrating his 100 Spanish league goals, Uche announced yesterday that he will be giving away 2 tickets to a fan to watch his team, Villarreal play against FC Zurich in the ongoing UEL (UEFA Europa League).
The player, who was overlooked by former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi despite his fine form for his club and tally for Nigeria, announced the winner to be Paula Groguta earlier today.
