Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winning goal for Manchester City at the Old Trafford during their first derby with Manchester United this season.
‘It means a whole lot to me, it’s a dream come true to play in the Manchester derby and score the winning goal’, he said.
‘My team really worked hard. Being in the right place at the tight time. I didn’t think the shot would hit the post but I’m happy it came to me’, said Iheanacho, who started the game in place of suspended Sergio Aguero.
The Nigerian international has had an impressive start to this season, with his goal in the Manchester derby coming after he scored the lone goal in Nigeria’s 1-0 win against Tanzania in a 2017 AFCON qualifier last week.

Iheanacho also assisted teammate Kevin De Bruyne for first goal of the game, while Zlatan Ibrahimović scored for Man. United in the match, which ended 2-1 in Man. City’s favour.
