When asked if about his peak moment in his highly successful football career, Jay Jay said: ‘Well I think the most memorable period in my career was winning the Olympics, because you only have one chance and one chance only and I happened to be there at the right time.
On what he regrets about the same career, the former PSG and Bolton star said: Then of course if I have any regrets, it should be the fact that I didn’t win the African footballer of the year, I gave it my best shot but I guess it wasn’t meant to be, regardless, I had a fantastic career.’
Speaking on the current state of the Nigerian national team, Okocha says the team lacks depth and talent.
