Veteran music act, Zakky Azzay made headlines in August 2012 when his marriage of 8 years to Hadiza hit the rocks over allegations of infidelity and wife battering. The Benue State-born act has since moved on with his life and is now even re-married to another woman.
Zakky added another year a few days ago and he spoke with Punch in an interview, lamenting that his joy is incomplete yet despite his several political campaigns for Goodluck Jonathan.
He says he has one wish, which is to re-unite with his children from his previous marriage blessed with 3 kids. In Zakky’s words, ‘It is a known fact that my children were closer to me than they were to their mother. I have not seen two of my kids since after the scandal. It is just one of my daughters that is with me. I am not happy about this.’
Though the case is still in court, Zakky said he wished things could speed up so that he will be re-united with his children for his joy to be complete. Now that he has remarried, the artiste said his current wife is very understanding and loving.
‘I had to move on with my life so I wouldn’t become irresponsible. I had to marry again and I am so happy with my current wife. You know the nature of our job; if I didn’t re-marry, I would have just become one useless man jumping from one woman to another. I am happy with the choice I made,’ he concluded.
