Celebrated broadcaster and presenter of defunct New Dawn on NTA, Funmi Iyanda became a year older on July 27, 2015 and fans and friends flooded her social media accounts with congratulatory messages.
While appreciating her fans, Funmi Iyanda made it known that she has been ill for sometime now. Funmi, in several tweets, appreciated her fans for the goodwill messages while revealing that she has been ill since October 2014.
‘It’s been a tough year, I have been ill since October. Very. I’ll talk about it when I fully recover as it may help someone… Being quite sick is not funny, at all. However, when your body becomes vulnerable and weak , you do find other kinds of strength and clarity,’ she wrote.
Funmi, who has a daughter with ex-Nigerian soccer star, Segun Odegbami, became popular with her show on NTA. Although she is no longer in a relationship with Segun Odegbami, Funmi has not been romantically linked to anyone in the last few years.
