‘I don’t listen to J. Cole and I don’t listen to Kendrick Lamar‘, Meek Mill has said, saying they’re dope lyricists but do not just inspire him.
‘That ain’t no hate at all,’ the MMG rapper said in an interview with Angie Martinez of Power 105, adding that he’s not a fan of today’s music. ‘I don’t be liking the music that be out, though. I won’t ever play it in my car.’
Mentioning the rappers he listen to, Meek mentions the likes of Future, Dej Loaf, Young Thug and OGs such as Jay Z.
Meek also talks about how he predicted that he and Nicki Minaj would end up together, saying she was around for him when he was in jail and that he’s in love with her.
‘Me and my homies still talk about it when I was sitting on the couch, we was watching Nicki on the ‘Bed Rock’ video and I was like, ‘I’m going to get her, on my life and you see I tweeted it like five years ago. I’m going to get Nicki Minaj.’
