The 2016 Euro qualifier match which was played on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at MSK stadium in Zilina, Slovakia saw Spain suffer a 2 – 1loss after putting up an impressive performance to conquer their more highly regarded rival in Group C.
The first game came in the 17th minute of the game when Spanish keeper, Iker Casillas’ mistake gifted Juraj Kucka a goal before substitute Paco Alcacer equalized in 82nd minute to put the Spanish back in level, but they were shocked again when Slovakian midfielder Miroslav Stoch sealed the victory in the 87th minute to advance pass the Spanish side.
