Gwyneth Paltrow sought advice from Johnny Depp before splitting from Chris Martin in a bid to learn how to break the news to their children, 10-year old Apple and 8-year old Moses.
The 42-year old actress, who announced her separation from the Coldplay frontman last March after 10 years of marriage, admits she discreetly asked her ‘Mortdecai’ co-star about how he ended his relationship with Vanessa Paradis, with whom he has daughter 15-year old Lily-Rose and 12-year old son Jack, in 2012 after 14 years together, in a bid to learn how to break the news to their children.
The blonde beauty told Marie Claire Australia: “Nobody knew what Chris and I had been going through, so I didn’t say ‘Hey, this is what’s happening.’ But I did ask him mostly children-centric questions, like ‘How is it on them? How did you do it?’
Although she and Chris only announced their separation last year, the magazine claims Gwyneth purchased a new house for herself in Brentwood, California as long ago as 2012 and then went through “a year of quiet separation.”
The ‘Iron Man 3’ star has been linked to ‘Glee’ and ‘American Horror Story’ co-creator Brad Falchuk since last July, while 37-year oldChris, 37, is now dating 24-year-old actress Jennifer Lawrence.
