The 44 year old, who, until his death was the coach of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) in Ilorin, Kwara State died on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at exactly 4.05 am at the Yusjib Industrial Medicare Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The former player who was among the 1994 victorious Super Eagles’ squad that won the Nations Cup in Tunisia reportedly died in the early hours of Sunday from yet to be disclosed cause.
He played for Bendel Insurance (1985-1987), Iwuanyanwu Nationale (1988-1991), Africa Sports (1992-1993), Maccabi Ironi Ashdod F.C. (1993-1994) and Antalyaspor (1994-1995) before retiring at the age of 27, as a result of a serious knee injury.
Oliha becomes the third player to die among the much celebrated Nigeria 1994 squad, joining Uche Okafor and Rashidi Yekini in the great beyond.
